About
Hi there, I'm Anna- recipe developer, food lover, mum, and the person behind Picky Eaters Table.
What makes Picky Eaters Table special
At Picky Eaters Table, you'll find nourishing, plant-focused recipes designed for babies, toddlers, and busy families- with a big focus on keeping things simple and doable in everyday life.
A few things that make the recipes here a little special:
- Naturally sweetened recipes: I love using dates to sweeten baked goods and snacks wherever possible. Trust me, there was a lot of trial and error involved at the beginning (some very sticky muffins were sacrificed along the way), but I've really fallen in love with how dates add natural sweetness, softness, and richness to recipes while keeping them more nourishing at the same time.
- (Hidden) veggies everywhere: I'm always looking for easy ways to pack extra goodness into meals. From spinach pancakes to veggie-packed sauces and muffins, I love making recipes as nutrient-dense as possible without sacrificing flavor.
- Quick recipes with minimal ingredients: because most of us don't have time for complicated meals. The recipes here are designed to be simple, approachable, and family-friendly.
- Meal prep-friendly ideas: many recipes include little shortcuts or prep-ahead steps that can be done the night before to make busy mornings and evenings feel easier.
You'll also find plenty of:
- Baby food recipes
- Quick and easy breakfasts
- Lunch & dinner recipes
- Wholesome dessert recipes
- recipes that only that 30 minutes or less
- Easy recipes for picky eaters
My background: credentials & education
I grew up in a family where cooking was a big part of everyday life. Homemade meals and gathering around the table were simply what we did, so my love for food started early on.
That passion only grew stronger while studying nutrition as part of my university courses and later completing my master's degree in sports science. Learning more about the connection between food, health, and overall wellbeing sparked my interest in creating recipes that are not only nourishing, but also simple, practical, and genuinely delicious for everyday life.
Becoming a mum
But becoming a mum gave healthy cooking a whole new meaning.
Suddenly, I wasn't just thinking about how to nourish myself, but also how to feed a tiny little human who seemed determined to survive exclusively on berries and air some days. When my daughter entered her first picky eating phase, I found myself getting very creative in the kitchen- adding extra veggies wherever I could, simplifying meals and finding ways to make healthy food feel fun and approachable.
That experience became a huge inspiration behind Picky Eaters Table and the kind of recipes I share today: easy, wholesome meals made with simple ingredients that work for babies, toddlers, and the whole family.
I'm so glad you're here
Whether you're starting solids, navigating picky eating, or simply looking for quick, wholesome snacks and meals I hope you'll find plenty of inspiration here.
